A Journey of Self-Discovery: The Apurva Kempinski Bali Launches Sound Meditation Programme

This restful awareness activity is initiated to

celebrate Global Wellness Day

In celebration of Global Wellness Day, The Apurva Kempinski Bali announces the launch of Sound Meditation: a brand-new programme that is designed to help guests achieve mindfulness. This programme, using the healing properties of sound therapy, is presented in the form of sound meditation.

Global Wellness Day is an international event that has been celebrated annually, and is dedicated to the art of living well. People all around the world participate in this special day on the second Saturday of June every year, and the event aims to rid people of the stress of everyday life, while raising awareness of living well and spreading motivation.

Utilising sounds and vibrations for therapeutic responses from the body, this sound healing session is a calming meditative experience during which participants are surrounded by sound waves. As sound waves can travel through matter, they can also be used as a healing tool that provides harmony and balance to the body. Various instruments, such as singing bowls, bells, chimes and gongs, are utilised, to produce a subtle stimulatory effect on the brain. The resort’s wellness experts will guide participants through a process of relaxation, bringing their brainwave frequencies into an alpha or theta state that will heal on a cellular level. A regular sound meditation practice offers numerous health benefits, including strengthening the immune system, lowering blood pressure, releasing stress and anxiety and increasing focus and clarity. To complete the experience, guests will also be presented with jamu at the end of the meditation session. The healing qualities of this traditional elixir have always been present throughout the resort. Guests can enjoy them anytime
in many ways, be it in the morning during breakfast or as a daily immune booster at Selasar Deli or post-treatment at Apurva Spa, where there is a Jamu Bar, with various kinds of jamu displayed.

“The current global situation has pushed people to seek ways to balance their body and mind,” shared Vincent Guironnet, General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali. “Through this new wellness programme, our objective is to motivate a lifestyle change to be more mindful and cultivate deep relaxation.”

Sound Meditation is a daily wellness programme of Apurva Spa and priced at IDR 250,000++ per person. Participants are encouraged to confirm their reservation in advance by calling 0361 – 209 2288
