Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa Participate & Guarding “World CleanUp Day 2018”

Waste problems are a critical issue that is faced by countries around the world. Indonesia is still a byword since it was named as the world’s second plastic waste contributor to the ocean after China. In order to welcome the day to clean up the world’s garbage “World Cleanup Day” which falls on this day September 15 2018 Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa is appointed as the coordinator of the Jimbaran area to coordinate tourism actors with the SUKSMA BALI headline. This morning’s World CleanUp Day at 6.30 WITA was attended by several components of the community and tourism actors including Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa, Prabu Management, PT. Jimbaran Raya, Crystal Kuta, Bali Paradise Heritage Villa, Watermark, Ayana Resort & Spa Bali, The Cuisine, Aroma Bumbu Bali, Matahari Café, Ayola Bali Jimbaran, Kedai Nata 21, Kedonganan Veterinary, Puri Bambu, Banyan Tree Hotel & Resorts, Karma Kandara, Intercontinental Bali, Keraton Jimbaran, Belmond Jimbaran Puri, Gendis Villa Jimbaran, WHDI, Satpol PP, dr. Romy Associates, Puskesmas 1 Kuta, Coco Mart and attended by SMPN 1 Kuta Selatan, SDN 1, 5, 7 & 8 Jimbaran with a total number of participants present 1072 people simultaneously descended directly to Kedonganan Beach to clean up together and managed to collect 5 quintals of organic waste and 5 quintals of non-organic waste that was directly transported by Village dredging cars Kedonganan. The contents of the program began with the opening and greeting of representatives of the Kedonganan Indigenous Bendesa and the General Manager of Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa, cleaning Kedonganan Beach, then continued with Maumere gymnastics together and giving prizes to the participants as the closing ceremony.

This “World CleanUp Day” entitled SUKSMA BALI was taken as an expression of gratitude for the Balinese community and Bali tourism actors for the Bali Island of the Gods and as an act of saving Bali from trash. The event was attended by the representative of the Kedonganan Indigenous Bendesa Mr. Adi Minarta, in his remarks he expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders in the Kedonganan Beach area who have welcomed and carried out the invitation to cleanse Bali from Trash and thank the Management of Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa for initiating This hygiene movement involves and invites various components of the Kedonganan community, Jimbaran, and entrepreneurs to jointly carry out this movement. Let us continue to join hands: Entrepreneurs, Governments, and Communities to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of the Kedonganan Beach environment, so that Kedonganan will become a World-class Tourism Destination.

The same thing was conveyed by Mr. Christian Gumala as General Manager of Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa, that cleaning the Kedonganan beach from this waste is a routine activity that has been carried out by Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa twice a month. He hopes that this program will help reduce the scattered garbage and restore Bali’s beautiful face and free from garbage.

This routine activity involves all staff and management of Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa who participate directly in this event together to clean up garbage along Kedonganan Beach, to stay awake and create environmental cleanliness and comfort for foreign and local tourists visiting Bali, this will have a positive impact, the value of long-term investment and of course to build the image of Bali as the main destination for tourists in the eyes of the world.
