Two chefs 12,000 km apart, exchanging continent, restaurant and life. A one week, two-way, takeover: Trading Spaces.
Restaurants Locavore (Ubud, Bali) and RIJKS® (Amsterdam, Netherlands) take on the challenge of their biggest chefs’ event so far. Under the name “Trading Spaces”, chef ’s Eelke Plasmeijer and Joris Bijdendijk will exchange continent, restaurant and lives from 23-26th May.
Komaneka is proud to be the o cial accommodation partner for this exciting culinary event, where both chefs will simultaneously move their entire restaurant to the other side of the world. Chef Joris and his team are ying into Bali where they will only have a few days to transform Restaurant Locavore into a familiar habitat before challenging themselves to create a menu using local ingredients they have been able to source.
In line with Komaneka’s vision of showcasing Indonesia though art & culture it was a natural choice to partner with Locavore to support Trading Spaces where Indonesia will be on show in Amsterdam whilst the RIJKS® team will be exposed to the best of Ubud & Bali.
Locavore is excited to be working with Komaneka for Trading Spaces, knowing that the RIJKS® team will be well looked after whilst they stay at Komaneka Rasa Sayang, which is conveniently within walking distance of Locavore.
For reservations you can book through www.tradingspaces.nl seats are very limited with Lunch served from ursday – Sunday, and Dinner from ursday – Saturday at Restaurant RIJKS® in Ubud Bali.
