Peranakan Food Sunday Brunch

Peranakan’s cooking is the result of blending Chinese ingredients with various distinct spices and cooking techniques used by the Malay/Indonesian community. This gives rise to Peranakan interpretations of Malay/Indonesian food that is similarly tangy, aromatic, spicy and herbal.

Boasting the tagline “Peranakan Food”, Peranakan Sunday Brunch at Andrawina Restaurant in Rumal Luwih Hotel and Resort, is known for the attention and effort that it pays to its traditional peranakan dishes and we can indeed testify to these qualities being in plentiful supply in their delightful food such as Hainan Chicken Rice, Soy Sauce Pork, Baso Tahu; The Indonesian style steam shu-mai and tofu with grind chicken meat added, Spicy Prawn with petai (stinky beans).

 

This restaurant brunch theme definitely knows how to provide those peranakan classic hits, with es campur providing to be yet another stunner. The tape, kolang-kaling, cincau, and jackfruit ensemble here was refreshing as they come and a sweet taste of rose-cordial syrup transported us back to one of our es campur favourites from the ‘90s.

The restaurant charmed visitors with its inviting colonial design and authentic Peranakan delicacies. Those superb execution in this brunch evoked nostalgic memories for us. This was perhaps enhance by this magnificent five star service with the best of colonial architecture at it’s era.

More than just a restaurant, it also brings to life an all-round experience of the rich Peranakan culture in their interior and staff attire. Peranakan Food Sunday Brunch moved to its brand new premises in Bali. Just beside the brunch, this brunch package complimenting the swim and relax in their sea view swimming pool and providing an even more complete feast for the senses.
