Sanur, 27 July 2016 … SANUR VILLAGE FESTIVAL 2016 is entering its 11 years annually, a celebration by Sanur community. Themed Tat Twam Asi, is starts off from a Hindu philosophy that “I am you and you are me”. Bringing forth the universal identity, this theme is relevant to all aspects, including the relationship between Man and God, Man and Man and Man and Environment, known as the Tri Hita Karana.

Symbolically, in the number 11, which is a double number, with same dimensions between left and right side. Thus, the SVF 2016 organizers have developed a spatial dialogue in viewing you and me as the same, similar to the concept of Tat Twam Asi. With the branding “Tat Twam Asi” Sanur Village Festival, creates a strategic action plan that is integrated and sustainable from previous year themes, where Tat Twam Asi can be formulated as a part of the reflection of 10 years of the Sanur Village Festival event.

Sanur has provided space for the world community that offers warmth, tolerance and friendship as the main basis for tourism hospitality. It also provides space for community creativity through activities that impact the economy and welfare.

Sanur Village Festival in its effort to create branding for tourism promotion has proven itself sustainable. It can be said that SVF is a village festival that has been held independently and most successfully in Bali.

Through its main theme “Tat Twam Asi” Sanur Village Festival 2016 will strengthen the perspective to create a stronger movement in uniting all potentials of tourism, nature, society, traditional live, art and culture and community creativity that can propel tourism attraction. Ida Bagus Sidartha Putra, Chairman of Sanur Village Festival who is also the head of Yayasan Pembangunan Sanur, and chairman of PHRI says, “Sanur Villege Festival is very well knows locally, nationally and internationally. With this innovation, courage, traditional values, spirit of togetherness and village development as well as intuition for establishing the future, SVF has strengthened its character as a festival that promotes tourism in Bali, and Kota Denpasar specifically”.

The faith of Ida Bagus Sidharta Putra or better known as Gusde with his experience in holding the 11th Sanur Village Festival with the main theme “The New Spirit of Heritage”, makes him established to develop this activity in a global scale. However, Sanur must still develop its integrated tourism promotion infrastructure to compete in the tourism market and tourism 9in other regions or countries that are highly competitive.
