Blue Karma recently hosted an extraordinary evening at the renowned Hiiragi Restaurant, where “A Journey Through Flavors” took guests on a culinary voyage like no other. This unforgettable dining experience brought together three of Blue Karma’s most distinguished chefs, each showcasing their culinary prowess through a carefully curated four-course meal paired with exquisite fine wines.

Chef Agus from BKeto Restaurant in Seminyak, Chef Gina from Botanist Restaurant in Ubud, and Chef Kadek from Hiiragi Restaurant in Umalas collaborated to create a menu that spanned diverse culinary traditions, effortlessly blending Mediterranean, French, Japanese, and Balinese influences.

 

The Menu: A Journey of Flavors

The evening began with a delightful appetizer, Hamshuka, a perfect harmony of smoked beef, hummus, and vibrant vegetables, setting the tone for a truly global feast. The soup course followed, with a Creamy Roasted Beetroot and Green Kale Soup, enriched by sweet potato cheese moringa balls and vegan ricotta, offering both nourishment and indulgence.

 

 

For the main course, guests were invited to choose between two outstanding dishes: the Sea Breeze Rolls, a fusion of fresh seafood and Japanese flavors, and the Grain Fed Angus Tenderloin Beef, a classic dish elevated by rich, savory accompaniments. Each bite captured the essence of expert craftsmanship and international flair.

 

The finale of the meal was nothing short of spectacular. Diners indulged in either the traditional Balinese Klepon or the exquisite Strawberry Mille Feuille, layered with matcha ice cream and fresh strawberries, providing the perfect sweet conclusion to this culinary journey.
