Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) is set to return for its 12th edition on August 1–2, 2025, bringing two days of live jazz to the lush surroundings of Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Ubud. Known for its vibrant mix of global sounds and local charm, UVJF continues to celebrate jazz as a bridge between cultures, featuring a thoughtfully curated lineup of international and Indonesian artists.
This year’s program will feature renowned Japanese pianist Makoto Kuriya in a special collaboration with Balinese musicians, alongside other highlights such as the Balawan Trio feat. Jiyestha, France’s ROUGE, and acts from Germany, Vietnam, Russia, and beyond. With two stages instead of three, UVJF 2025 promises a more intimate atmosphere that brings artists and audiences closer together.
In addition to the main event, UVJF will host pre- and post-festival showcases at various venues including The Apurva Kempinski Nusa Dua and The Meru Sanur. The event’s architectural design, led by Archimetriz Architect and Saung Construction, reflects this year’s themes: “The Space We Breathe” and “The Space Between Sounds,” drawing inspiration from jazz’s rhythm of presence and pause.
The festival also supports more than 30 local MSMEs through culinary booths, offering visitors a taste of Bali’s diverse flavors. With its blend of music, culture, and community, UVJF continues to grow as a meaningful cultural experience for jazz lovers and curious travelers alike. Tickets are available via Megatix, and full details can be found at www.ubudvillagejazzfestival.com.
