Symphony of Indonesia Celebrates 80 Years of Independence at The Meru Sanur and Bali Beach Hotel – The Heritage Collection

Symphony of Indonesia, a three-day celebration marking Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day, concluded with resounding success at The Sanur, The Meru Sanur, and the iconic Bali Beach Hotel – The Heritage Collection. The event, held from August 15–17, 2025, carried the national theme “United Sovereignty, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia” and brought together music, culture, culinary experiences, and community spirit in the heart of Sanur.

The program opened with Seaside Jazz Weekend, where audiences enjoyed soulful seaside performances on August 15 and 16. On Independence Day morning, August 17, the highly anticipated Indra Lesmana Surya Sewana sunrise concert captivated the crowd. Led by maestro Indra Lesmana and supported by acclaimed musicians and the Surya Sewana Balinese Gamelan, the concert honored Bali’s tradition of welcoming the first light while celebrating the nation’s milestone anniversary.

The festivities also featured a flag ceremony and community activities, including traditional games, kite flying, and free health check-ups, which were warmly received by both visitors and the local community. A highlight was the participation of children from the Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation (YKAI), continuing a meaningful partnership that added depth and purpose to the celebration.

The celebration concluded with Peken Senggol Sunday Brunch at Arunika Restaurant, where a specially curated menu, live music, and a heritage cocktail were enjoyed in a vibrant red-and-white spirit. More than just an event, Symphony of Indonesia successfully united people in a shared moment of pride and joy, leaving a lasting impression of culture, tradition, and togetherness in Sanur.
