In February 2026, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort began a school project in Southwest Sumba. The project is in partnership with Bali Life Foundation. It follows a charity gala in November 2025 that raised IDR 500,000,000. The funds support better access to education for children in Tambolaka.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 12 February 2026. It was attended by Ratu Ngadu Bonu Wulla, along with representatives of the resort. The project responds to urgent needs, including unsafe classrooms, poor sanitation, and limited clean water.
The new school will feature two equipped classrooms and a teachers’ office. It will also include four toilets with running water, a playground, and an athletic field. The facility is designed to provide a safe and supportive space for 32 students and their teachers.

Through this school project in Southwest Sumba, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort shows its ongoing commitment to community care. The initiative reflects a belief that hospitality goes beyond service, creating lasting impact through education and meaningful support.
