Perched on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, The Apurva Kempinski Bali unveils Spice Route Voyage, a seven-day curated journey inspired by Indonesia’s ancient spice trade. Created with Indonesian yachting specialist Yacht Sourcing, the programme forms the highlight of the resort’s 2026 campaign, Powerful Indonesia: Spice Route Legacy. The experience invites travellers to explore the archipelago through culture, history, and refined hospitality.

For more than 4,500 years, Indonesia’s islands were at the heart of the global spice trade. Cloves, nutmeg, and pepper connected Nusantara with China, India, Arabia, and Europe. Spice Route Voyage retraces these historic routes aboard handcrafted phinisi schooners. Seasonal itineraries explore North Maluku, the Banda Islands, South Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara, regions once known as the world’s most valuable spice-producing lands.

The programme is divided into two bookable experiences. The first is a five-day Phinisi voyage at sea, designed to immerse travellers in Indonesia’s maritime legacy. The journey continues on land with a two-night stay at the Nusantara Presidential Villa at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, for up to six guests. The stay includes daily breakfast, luxury chauffeur service, a Majapahit-inspired Imperial Dinner, Afternoon Tea, a Spice Route cocktail session at L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo, and a treatment at Apurva Spa.

Spice Route Voyage reflects a shared vision between The Apurva Kempinski Bali and Yacht Sourcing: luxury travel that respects culture, community, and craftsmanship. More than a voyage, it is a meaningful journey that connects travellers to Indonesia’s living maritime heritage.
