Established in 1950, Segara Village Hotel was the first luxury hotel in Sanur area. With its charming ambience and tranquilize ocean views, Segara Village Hotel nestled in the heart of Sanur, Bali’s famous called as “morning of the world” with their breathtaking sunrise beach.
Segara Village Hotel is a tropical hideaway featuring 117 modern and spacious bungalows with traditional ethnic experience. The hotel offers guest rooms in four unique accommodation levels: Deluxe Room, Bungalow Room, Family Bungalow Room, and The Segara at village 2.
This time we experienced the bungalow room. Spacious room with 45sqm, the accommodation provide the tropical modern style completed with international standard amenities including 32 inch LCD screen TV with 60 channels, daybed, minibar, connecting room, safe deposit box, coffee and tea making facilities, also the opulent marble tiles bathtub separate with rainfall shower room completed with premium toiletries. Each room in this resort has their own private terrace.
Surrounding by tropical Balinese garden, this fifty years hotel provide three swimming pools to cater the guest stay experience both family or honeymoon vacation. The main pool located in Byrdhouse beach club, at the beachfront area facing the Indian Ocean. Near this pool there is an outdoor kids playground to keep the little one busy completed entertainment area for the parents or others adult to spend the quality time with family such as chess, table tennis, and billiards.
For you who want to enjoy the relax time by bask in the sun besides the pool while reading a book, just a meters away, Segara Village has their own library room collects a wide range of book or novel choice from various language. In house guest can borrow it here, and bring it with you to accompanied your relax time.
The Segara at Village 2 is exclusive bungalows dedicated for adult only holiday escape located is separated courtyard with it’s own pool for a heightened sense of privacy. Other option for more adult entertainment the hotel provides a jacuzzi bar with 12 stools in swim up pool bar.
Scrumptious dining options abound at Byrdhouse beach club with seafood based menu specialties and sample a delicious range of international cuisine. Byrdhouse beach club providing complete dining with their three restaurant choices; Le Pirate Kitchen which serving up daily rotate breakfast while you can enjoy both besides the pool or in the shore area while enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise. Minami Japanese Kitchen and Teppanyaki, Amuse Gueule Patisserie prepared for Italian cuisine, and Byrdhouse cocktail lounge and bar.
They also offer delicious Indonesian dishes that I preferred such as Nasi Ayam Kung Pao – wok fried chicken thigh with garlic, ginger, sesame oil, oyster sauce, Chinese wine, and toasted cashew. And also mouthwatering Nasi Rendang – 8 hours slow cooked beef in West Sumatra’s caramelized curry spice. A delicate gin and tonic completed my dining experience to balance the savory and spicy dish. Then, a sweet chocolate mud cake and gelato is a great way to end this dining experience.
Epithet of most artistic senior resort in Sanur seems worth girded by Segara Village Sanur. It’s indeed has a compelling charisma. Since the presence from fifty years ago, it always leaves the impression of a classic that won’t timeless.
