Aryaduta Hotel Group proudly announces its annual Asta Karya campaign, a vibrant tribute to Indonesia’s rich artistic heritage. This year, the spotlight is on “Batik,” the iconic textile art celebrated for its intricate patterns and cultural depth. Aryaduta Bali will host a special event on October 19, 2024, showcasing contemporary Batik as a creative art form.
The event will feature a dynamic program, beginning with a lively fashion and talent show in collaboration with The Model Management. A highlight of the day will be a Batik fashion show, presenting the Batik Minahasa collection by Marselianggi and a unique collaboration between Marselianggi and Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan. The models, impeccably styled by Make Over – Professional Makeup Artist, one of the event’s sponsors, will beautifully showcase the intricate Batik designs. Attendees can also purchase an exclusive Batik scarf, with all proceeds benefiting Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan to support children in need. Aryaduta Bali encourages event attendees and online followers to participate in this charitable initiative.
The centerpiece of the day will be a panel discussion titled “How can Batik be preserved in the digital world?” Esteemed speakers, including representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, fashion industry experts, and the chairwoman of Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan, will delve into the opportunities and challenges of adapting Batik to the digital age. This session will offer valuable networking opportunities, including a coffee break where MSMEs and participants can engage with industry experts for insights and practical advice on navigating their evolving fields.
The event will also include a Batik design competition, hosted in partnership with Wacom Indonesia and Datascrip, encouraging participants to blend traditional Batik techniques with digital innovation. Designers will have 1-2 hours to create Batik designs using Wacom’s state-of-the-art tools. The winner will receive a Wacom device and vouchers from Aryaduta Bali.
Wacom, renowned for its interactive pen displays and digital tools, is dedicated to inspiring and empowering creativity.
Mr. RM Rendy Prapanca, General Manager of Aryaduta Bali, commented, “The Asta Karya campaign underscores Aryaduta Hotel Group’s dedication to celebrating and preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
