The Festive Season by the Lotus Pond at The Café Lotus Ubud brings a gentle touch of magic to December. Set beside the sacred Saraswati Temple and its iconic lotus pond, the restaurant offers a serene atmosphere where Balinese culture and seasonal traditions blend naturally. For over forty years, The Café Lotus has been a place where artistry, heritage, and warm hospitality come together.

This year’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations invite travellers to enjoy an intimate four-course menu inspired by fresh Balinese ingredients. Candlelit tables, blooming lotus flowers, and soft gamelan melodies create a peaceful setting under the night sky. Guests are accompanied by either a Balinese dance performance or live saxophone music, adding a graceful rhythm to the evening.

On New Year’s Eve, The Café Lotus presents Flavors of Nusantara, a four-course dinner that highlights Indonesia’s diverse culinary traditions. Dishes such as Tuna Dabu-Dabu and Ayam Woku are crafted with a contemporary yet respectful approach. The night continues with Balinese dance and saxophone performances, leading to a warm toast to 2026 by the lotus pond.
Through each celebration, The Café Lotus focuses on simple beauty, heartfelt service, and a sense of togetherness. The setting, the flavors, and the cultural elements offer a gentle and memorable way to welcome the season, reflecting the spirit of Ubud’s timeless charm.
