Celebrating Authenticity: Aryaduta Bali’s #BeAuthentik Event Showcases the Artistry and Heart of Indonesian Culture

ARYADUTA Bali recently concluded its Asta Karya campaign with the #BeAuthentik event, a vibrant celebration of Indonesian culture, fashion, and local artistry, featuring batik and charitable initiatives. Drawing over 100 attendees, the gathering highlighted Indonesia’s rich creative landscape, bringing together 12 local fashion MSMEs eager to share their batik-inspired designs and foster awareness of Indonesia’s fashion talent.

A standout of the event was the Batik Motif Design Competition, where nine exceptional participants, aged 19-36, presented unique designs. After careful deliberation, Ni Putu Novi Widiarti was awarded first place, followed by Gede Agus Chrisna Pratama and Muhamad Bagus Oka Hadi Kusuma. Winners received prestigious prizes, including Wacom tablets and a stay at ARYADUTA Bali, celebrating their innovation in batik design.

A talk show provided insightful perspectives on batik’s cultural significance. Marselina Anggita Manalu, founder of Marselianggi, shared her design philosophy of inclusivity, while Ratu Tjokorda Raka Kerthyasa, a respected cultural expert, delved into batik’s deep-rooted legacy. Mrs. Elsye Suryawan of the Peduli Kemanusiaan Foundation spoke on the foundation’s impactful work and collaboration with Marselianggi to further social causes.

A heartfelt “Batik for Humanity” charity fashion show added a meaningful touch, with children’s artwork transformed by Marselianggi into beautiful scarves and T-shirts. These unique creations, sold in support of the Peduli Kemanusiaan Foundation, moved the audience with the profound story behind each design.

Marselina Anggita’s collection, “Biarkan Dunia Tahu” (Let the World Know), was another highlight, reflecting her personal journey through designs that blend color, shape, and emotion. Marselina encouraged attendees to embrace creativity and compassion, celebrating life’s deeper meanings.

The event’s success was made possible by valued partners and sponsors, including Marselianggi, Peduli Kemanusiaan Foundation, The Models Management, Professional Makeup by Makeover, Wacom Indonesia and Datascrip Creative Tablet, and Labore Skin Care.
