Chef Wouter Eggermont, the Executive Chef of Cascades
Cascades Restaurant in Ubud is again open for business after a short hiatus, with Executive Chef Wouter Eggermont bringing to the table 20 years of international culinary and F&B experience to Ubud’s original foodie destination.
To celebrate the reopening, Chef Wouter is manning the barbeque every Sunday at the Cascades Barbeque Brunch, offering luscious prime cuts of meat and fresh seafood straight from the grill. There is also live music and
free kids’ activities on offer, as well as use of the pool for those wanting to cool off.
Chef Wouter can also explain the Cascades on-site greenhouse, in between preparing dishes with the organic herbs, fruits and vegetables straight from its soil. With a serious dedication to the farm-to-table ethos, Chef Wouter personally controls each step in the process, from the planting of the seed right through to the meal leaving the kitchen.
Starting his career from Michelin starred restaurants in Belgium before branching out around the globe, Chef Wouter speaks four languages and also has explored various roles including being a HACCP expert in kitchen
sanitation and hygiene, serving thousands of guests in one seating during his days in private catering, being an F&B professional consultant for various hotels and finally being an owner of a well-known beach club in Bali.
Located within the grounds of the Viceroy Bali and perched atop Ubud’s Valley of the Kings with views across the jungle ravine, an experience at Cascades will be truly memorable. And Chef Wouter’s varied, high-calibre
