Cross Hotels & Resorts Lands Luxury Eco-Resort Partnership on Batam Island

Expanding its commitment to offering diverse destinations throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Cross Hotels & Resorts has signed a major hotel management agreement with PT Yetosa Pratama Sukses (Puri Group) for Cross Batam Antapura, a 340-key tropical island paradise. Developed under the ‘Luxury by Design’ concept and set amidst stunning natural beauty, the resort is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2027.

This partnership with Puri Group, one of the major property developers on Batam Island, Indonesia, marks Cross Hotels & Resorts’ first property on the island. Cross Batam Antapura is a hybrid resort offering 250 contemporary hotel rooms and 90 luxury pool villas, all centered around a low-rise Water Courtyard. The resort blends traditional Indonesian designs with modern refinement, creating a serene setting that promotes personal wellbeing.

Located just 13 minutes from Hang Nadim International Airport, a short drive from the international ferry terminal, and close to three international golf courses, Cross Batam Antapura is sure to attract holidaymakers, day-trippers, and event planners. The resort offers a blend of tranquility and excitement, from secluded retreats to exceptional dining experiences. Adults can enjoy rejuvenating spa services while children have access to vibrant recreational and entertainment activities.

“It has been an honor working with Puri Group to achieve our goal of being the preferred hotel management operator in the Asia-Pacific region. Cross Batam Antapura, our first resort on Batam Island, is also our eighth property in Indonesia. Batam Island is a gateway to the rest of the Indonesian archipelago, and I am excited about our expansion in this beautiful land. This resort embodies our Luxury by Design concept and strengthens our sustainable architecture initiatives,” said Harry Thaliwal, CEO of Cross Hotels & Resorts.

Cross Batam Antapura offers a range of beautiful one- to three-bedroom pool villas, ideal for romantic getaways, family gatherings, and corporate events. World-class amenities include gourmet restaurants, a swimming pool with a sunken bar, a spa complex, fitness center, ballroom, wedding chapel, and ample parking. The resort also boasts several sustainable architecture initiatives, creating an eco-conscious living space.

Mr. Wagiman, President Director of PT Yetosa Pratama Sukses (Puri Group), said, “We were seeking a partner with an innovative approach and a proven track record in hospitality. Cross Hotels & Resorts is growing rapidly in Indonesia, and we saw an opportunity to develop this luxury project together. Backed by the global distribution power of Flight Centre Travel Group, we believe this partnership will be hugely successful.”
