Pre-festival event to feature performances by leading jazz musicians paired with a sumptuous international buffet at Anarasa Restaurant.
The Ubud Village Jazz Festival returns to Bali this August and ahead of this highly anticipated event, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali will be hosting an exclusive prelude dinner featuring jazz music performances.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali is a platinum sponsor of the Ubud Village Jazz Festival, a premier event that gathers some of the genre’s most celebrated musicians and up-and-coming acts for two days of captivating music. This year’s festival will take place on 16th – 17th August 2019 against the beautiful backdrop of Bali’s cultural capital.
In the build-up to this annual jazz extravaganza, guests can experience some of the festival’s top acts on the evening of Friday, 9th August 2019. This will be accompanied by sensational cuisine in the sublime tropical ambience of Anarasa, the resort’s urban marketplace restaurant.
Music lovers will be in for a real treat as Dian Pratiwi, Indonesia’s exotic jazz diva, will be appearing live on stage. With her distinctive soulful voice, Pratiwi’s talent is recognised well beyond the archipelago. She will collaborate with Eurasian Quintet, a mixed group founded by Indonesian and local Balinese instrumentalists together well-known international jazz musicians.
Mövenpick’s warm-up dinner will also feature a performance by Aram Rustamyants’ New-Centropezn Quartet, who first began playing together in 1988. Each member is a multi-talented soloist and together as an ensemble, they make music that is energetic and full of emotion. Besides their native Russia, the quartet is popular in Belgium, Germany and Spain as having won numerous jazz music awards.
Guests will have the opportunity to savour this evening of superb food and jazz entertainment for just IDR 330.000 net per person. Dinner commences at 6.30pm and tables will be available inside Anarasa Restaurant or outdoors on our moonlit terrace.

Launched in 2013, the Ubud Village Jazz Festival is an intimate musical event that features approximately 100 musicians playing 20 performances on three stages over the course of two days. Acts span a wide variety of jazz forms, including international acts, Indonesian artists and up-and-coming talents.
Financed through sponsorships, advertising and tickets sales, the festival has brought significant benefits to the local community since its foundation. This year’s event is expected to attract approximately 5,000 people, giving Ubud a welcome economic boost.
