New York’s Dead Rabbit will set up shop in Seminyak’s Pontiac Stardust.

One of the world’s most lauded drinking establishments is on its way to Indonesia, with New York’s famed The Dead Rabbit confirming that it will be launching an Asian tour next month. As a part of its journey across Hong Kong, Singapore and Bali, the adored American drinking den will be popping up in Seminyak’s newest bar The Pontiac Stardust on July 10 and 11.

Gifted a slew of awards in its time, including ‘The World’s Best Bar’ and ‘World’s Best Cocktail Menu’, The Dead Rabbit will be showcasing the best of its abilities with a specialty bartending masterclass on July 10, followed by a party for the public on July 11. It will be a chance for Gregory Buda, Director of Education and Nick Rolin, Senior Bartender of the Manhattan-based Irish drinking saloon to showcase their talent.

Expect July 11’s party to be a lively affair; The Dead Rabbit Guest-Shift will take place from 9.00pm, with the event to run well into the night. Alongside a DJ and entertainment Nick and Gregory have confirmed serving up six concoctions from their world-famous cocktail menu for one-night only. This will include elegant Irish Whiskey cocktail Psycho Killer (Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, Campari, Giffard Banana Liqueur, Giffard White Crème de Cacao, Pernod Absinthe), and the flavoursome Spell Spoke (Hibiscus-infused Jameson Irish Whiskey, Lime Leaves, Ginger, Lime & Bittermen’s Boston Bitters). Then there’s the Cut & Dry (Havana Club 3yr Rum, Orange Liqueur, Passion Berry, Sumac, Chipotle, Lemon) and Brute Force (Green Tea Infused Altos Blanco Tequila, Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum, Pear, Green Tea, Almond, Lime, Pernod Absinthe), The Gin Smash (Monkey 47 Gin, Lemon Sherbet, Celery Tincture Lemon Juice, Fresh Mint Leaves), and savoury Champagne cocktail Eau de Thé, (Martell VS Cognac, Green Chartreuse, Black Tea Syrup, Angostura, Champagne).

 

The Dead Rabbit Master Class will explore what it takes to become the best bar in the world. It will take place from 4.00-6.00pm on Wednesday, July 10. Registration is not required but seats can be reserved via info@thepontiac.com.
