Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Celebrates a Sustainable Christmas with the Segara Gunung Christmas Tree

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort welcomed the festive season with its annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the Rotunda Lobby. This year, the resort collaborated with Balinese artist Marmar Herayukti and dance collective Naluri Manca. The highlight was the Segara Gunung Christmas Tree, inspired by the Balinese philosophy of balance between the sea and the mountains.

The concept was expressed through a graceful performance by Naluri Manca, led by Ida Bagus Eka Arista. The dance translated the philosophy into movement, showing harmony, gratitude, and respect for nature. The collaboration created a meaningful connection between local culture and the spirit of Christmas.

The evening began with light refreshments, followed by a welcome speech from General Manager Jean-Pierre Joncas. A ten-minute performance set the atmosphere before the symbolic lighting of the Christmas tree. As the lights turned on, the Rotunda Lobby transformed into a warm and festive space.

Through this celebration, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort continues to support local artistry while embracing its French art-de-vivre identity. The event reflects a thoughtful approach to festive celebrations, where culture, creativity, and sustainability come together in a natural and elegant way.
