The Henderson Debuts Central’s Sky-High Destination with Three Bold Dining Concepts

The Henderson, Hong Kong’s latest architectural landmark designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, is introducing a sky-high multi-experience destination in Central with three distinctive dining and bar concepts set to open in late 2025. Following the success of Cloud 39, the city’s highest all-glass rooftop ballroom, the new additions invite visitors on a vertical journey that blends gastronomy, design, and culture.

The journey begins on the 5th floor with AKIRA BACK, the debut Hong Kong restaurant from the acclaimed chef whose global ventures span over 27 cities. Known for his inventive fusion of Korean heritage, Japanese techniques, and Western influences, Chef Back presents bold creations in a space designed by AB Concept, where art and design are woven into the dining experience.

Ascending to the 38th floor, Summit 38 offers a lifestyle destination featuring two new culinary concepts: Peridot and Hana no Kumo. Peridot introduces a fresh approach to Asia’s bar and dining culture with terroir-driven cocktails, plant-based haute cuisine, and live entertainment, all set within interiors shaped by Studio Paolo Ferrari’s “Natural Futurism.” Hana no Kumo, led by Executive Chef Ogawa Masaru, showcases kappou dining with Kyoto-inspired design by HBA, bringing refined craftsmanship and seasonal elegance to the table.

Together, these experiences reinforce The Henderson as more than a commercial landmark—it is a stage for creativity and culture at new heights. With Akira Back, Peridot, Hana no Kumo, and Cloud 39, the building offers a dynamic mix of dining, design, and events that reimagine Hong Kong’s skyline as a destination for both global tastemakers and local connoisseurs.
