Ultimate Serenity: Magical Day of Silence at The Apurva Kempinski Bali

A complete serenity programme to mark the new beginning of Balinese new year. A celebration like no other.

Nyepi, or the Day of Silence, marks the beginning of the Çaka lunar calendar. This unique new-year celebration is a special moment when Bali falls into the quietest celebration the world has ever seen. During Nyepi, people look into themselves and spend the day in meditation to reflect on their lives.

To celebrate Nyepi Day, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is offering a special serenity package inclusive of accommodation and a wellness programme that are designed to balance the five elements in the body – fire, air, earth, ether and water. The stay starts from IDR 2,650,000++ per room per night for the period of 2 – 4 March 2022, and it comes with a daily breakfast for two persons, 1 x lunch and 1 x dinner on Nyepi Day and unlimited access to the resort’s wellness activities. Inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Panca Maha Bhuta, the wellness experts at this award-winning resort have curated a series of mindfulness activities. Each of the programmes is designed to restore the balance of energies in the body, contributing to everything from personality traits to health and well-being. This ‘Wellness by the Elements’ programme is spread over three days, starting with Surya Namaskara to stimulate the fire energy, Pranayama Yoga Sabulungan Healing Wisdom to appease the air element, grounding yoga to balance the earth energy, a sound meditation with Sumatra’s Basale healing inspiration to harmonise the ether element and a purification ritual with Sumatra Barat’s Balimau tradition to strengthen the water element.

“Nyepi Day is a perfect moment for us to look inside ourselves, and reflect upon our lives,” General Manager Vincent Guironnet shared. “Through this Ultimate Serenity package, we hope that we can provide guests with a platform to discover their inner peace.”
