Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) will be held 1-7 June at Festival Screening Partner Cinépolis, Plaza Renon, Denpasar, and at Festival Hotel & Venue Partner InterContinental Bali Sanur Resort where the festival will transform Sanur into a destination for global cinema and entertainment.


Balinale is Indonesia’s premier film festival with a 17-year history of screening hundreds of domestic and international films for thousands of film enthusiasts. This year’s edition promises to continue its tradition of enlightening minds and opening hearts with a diverse and compelling selection of 60 films from 25 countries with 45 of them premieres.

Balinale 2024 will showcase six exceptional films that offer a glimpse into the vibrant world of Hong Kong cinema as part of Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation. For the third time, Balinale is associated with the Asian Film Awards Academy, which will present these films with a delegation of Hong Kong filmmakers


The festival holds the honor of receiving the endorsement of Indonesian National and Provincial Governments for its proven efforts in delivering cultural, political, and economic benefits to the country.


Balinale is known for its specialized knowledge and importance in promoting Indonesian cinema, art, and culture showcasing local stories, and encouraging the growth of the domestic creative industries. An important part of its commitment to the community is supporting established and aspiring local filmmakers with workshops and exchange programs.
